    The Manifold & Connections Engineer will be an integral part of the MCS Manifold team that is technical responsible for defining and delivering subsea manifold systems to the programs, tenders and projects.

    This role:
    Has the ability to effect short-term and long-term business goals.
    Will be responsible for work that is less defined in scope and has the understanding and experience to execute business objectives.
    Shall execute and facilitate the design and analysis for assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements.
    Will provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project.
    Will participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical reviews.
    Will document technical data generated for the assigned program / project consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
    Will be the technical contact point for vendors and participate in customer interactions with the project and sales teams.
    The responsibility will also include cross-functional work to define, implement and test the connection solutions.
    Technical responsible for manifold and/or jumper projects within one or more disciplines (Piping, Structural, Design ).
    MSc or BSc in Mechanical Engineering
    Experience within the subsea industry -preferably manifold systems. Candidates with less formal education will be considered if they have solid and relevant experience.
    Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems.
    Experience in mechanical hardware design and development
    PC proficiency, including ProEngineer, STAAD and / or ANSYS / Triflex experience
    Experience within one or more disciplines; Piping analysis, Structural analysis or Design of offshore and/or Subsea structures.
    Knowledge to rules and regulations within the Oil & Gas industry ( ISO, ASME , API)
    Proven project technical leadership experience
    Proven experience in leading a team to work across all functions/levels
    Highly proactive and results oriented
    Strong analytical skills combined with excellent problem solving skills
    Self motivated and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Qualification and Experience
    Candidates should possess:
    • A minimum qualification of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) or Bachelor of Engineering (B. Eng) degree (2nd Class and above .in any of the Sciences or Engineering) from a recognized University with at least one (1) year post N.Y.S.C. Experience.
    • Degree in Mechanical and Electrical/Electronics would be of advantage.
    • In addition to the above, candidates should possess the West African School Certificate Examination Ordinary Level (W. A.S.C.E.) with a minimum of five (5) credits which must include English Language, Mathematics and Physics.

    Our client in the Oil and Gas Industry (Down Stream Operations) is seeking to employ Petroleum engineers in their marginal production field project.
    These Engineers will work on a 28/28 basis and will be involved in the verification and validation of the work done by other contractors who will be engaged in well stimulation and work-over of the project.
    The petroleum engineers will
    • Manage material resources and contractor
    relationships and supervise drilling personnel.
    • Specify and supervise well modification and stimulation programs, in order to maximize oil and gas recovery
    • Verify and validate well stimulation and work-over of the project.
    • Maintain records of drilling and production operations.
    • Test machinery and equipment in order to ensure that they are safe and conform to performance specifications.
    • Provide professional advice to our client on the quality and extent of work done by other contractors on the project


    Qualifications:

    The candidates should have a degree in petroleum engineering, However, a degree in geology, geophysics, civil or mechanical engineering, plus course work in petroleum engineering may be considered. A minimum of 15 years work experience in one of the major Oil and Gas multinationals will be adequate. Retirees will be preferred because of the exigencies of this role. The role will require candidates who are very familiar with the Niger Delta region.
