    One of our major clients, a leading Process Control Software provider is currently looking for a Sales & Country Manager to be based in Nigeria.

    The incumbent will report directly into the Business Leadership Team and will represent the Regional operation at Senior Management Level.

    Role Responsibilities;

    Responsible for the Nigerian Business Unit within the EURA region
    Establishes budgets, long-range objectives and criteria for developing the business, monitoring progress and measuring success.
    Administers the organization's policies through subordinate managers.
    Works closely with all site departments to formulate strategies that satisfy the requirements of the business and customers/clients.
    Directs and coordinates activities of more than one department such as: engineering, operations, sales, proposals accounting, facilities, QA/HSE and finance.
    Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
    Specific accountability for the sales team and quota carrying
    Management of sales directly to end-users of the organization's products or services within in the specified geographic area
    Primary point of contact and accountability for the client relationship, contract, financial performance, end to end service delivery, service excellence, client satisfaction and account growth planning and execution.

    We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and experience;

    Previous experience of leading multi-disciplined teams or several teams of people across one or more functions
    Extensive local business knowledge
    Previous experience will ideally be from Automation industry, however project delivery environments (Food and Beverage, Production, Pharma, Oil & Gas) will provide transferable skills
    A successful track record in Account Management and Development is essential
    Proven track record in the creation of and driving a territory sales plan for existing customers AND the ability to identify and develop strategies to win incremental business
    Ability to lead contract negotiations
    Able to demonstrate collaborative working with the Delivery function to ensure smooth transition of projects from Sales to Delivery; supporting Delivery leaders on client management issues
    Has an existing network with key decision makers in Oil and Gas sector (upstream and/or downstream) – NAPIMS, NNPC, NCDMB
    Proven experience of establishing relationships at all levels of the business but especially senior level/C Suite relationships
    Experience in and evidence of strong partner management skills including interdivisional, external business partner and supplier management skills
    Experience of dealing with Union relations/negotiations
    Working experience of meeting company QA standards and liaising with external auditors.
    An understanding of industry safety system standards, their application and application of the regulations.
    Experience of capacity / capability planning and managing recruitment activities

    Qualifications & Technical Skills Required;

    Bachelor degree in chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering or equivalent training/experience such as an engineering/technical background and acumen – to understand and articulate IOM offerings
    Minimum 5-7 years of complex solution selling sales experience in an IOM targeted industry; MES experience, and/or other enterprise solutions experience preferred
    Working knowledge and deep understanding of the predominant people, products, services and solutions that are most important to large global firms.
    Insights into emerging players, technologies and key trends in the process automation marketplace
    Ability to think in a strategic manner then formulate and advise sales strategies based on events and developments during the sales process
    Sound understanding of finance associated with project/service delivery and ability to report/communicate clearly to finance community.
    Understanding of marketing and its application in automation industry.
    Fluent in English

    Co-ordinate the execution of technical test during application upgrades and new deployments.

    Develop and maintain proper documentation and blueprint of all IS applications.

    Oversee the maintenance of applications, working in conjunction with vendors and in accordance with OLAs and SLAs.

    Carry out routine system controls, audits and security checks to ensure optimal system performance and identify and resolve application issues.

    Ensure seamless integration of applications in order to minimize interface issues.

    Supervise, organize and co-ordinate the activities of the application team and ensure proper issue problem investigation, analysis, escalation and resolution of application issues and problems.

    Monitor and maintain the performance of ERP applications within the business and document improvement opportunities, as well as any technical constraints and process challenges.

    Liaise with application vendors and ensure SLAs are met through extensive review negotiation of SLA agreements.

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure suitable,cost effective and Shell Group compliant HPHT drilling equipment are deployed on SPDC wells.
    • Originate,review and update SPDC HPHT drilling equipment standards,as necessary.
    • Evaluate proposals from vendors for introduction of new HPHT drilling equipment systems.
    • Publish HPHT drilling equipment performance highlights periodically and technically evaluate problem areas for improvement.
    • Monitor HPHT equipment performance and resolve equipment related problems beyond the immediate capacity of the Rig teams.
    • Ensure availability of adequate quantity of relevant HPHT drilling materials.
    • Introduce new HPHT technologies as necessary to enable drilling beyond current capabilities.


    Requirements

    • University degree in Engineering or in the Sciences
    • Drilling R1, R2
    • Minimum of 10 years experience in the oil industry especially in HPHT Well Design/Ops.
    • Strong knowledge of HPHT well planning, design and ops.
    • Conversant with Group and SPDC drilling and completions equipment standards including local requirements .
    • Strong performance improvement orientation.

    African Development Bank Young Professionals Program (YPP) - 2013

  • ADB The Young Professionals Program (YPP) is targeted towards motivated and talented individuals under thirty-two (32) years of age, who are committed to African development, have demonstrated outstanding academic and professional achievement, and have demonstrated effective team work and leadership potential.  


    The African Development Bank (AfDB) hires approximately twenty (20) young professionals each year. Upon acceptance of offer and entry, the YPs complete a mandatory minimum of two years and maximum of three years on rotational assignments in different organizational units and sectors within the Bank.   The YPs will undergo on-the-job training and mentoring that will equip them with skills, knowledge and experience to address developmental issues in Africa in particular and the developing world in general.  At the end of three years and upon successful completion of the program, the YPs will be equipped to compete for any relevant vacancies in the AfDB.

    The following established selection criteria guide the recruitment and selection into the Program, and at no time will the Bank make an exception for any candidate:


    • Citizen of a member country (regional or non-regional) of the AfDB.
    • A maximum of 32 years of age by December 31st of the selection year.
    • A minimum of a Master's degree or equivalent in Economics, Engineering, Social Sciences, International Development, Business Administration, Finance, or any discipline that is relevant to the business of the Bank, and with outstanding academic credentials.
    • Multi-disciplinary background and a minimum of three years relevant work experience. Demonstrated strong analytical skills; dynamism; results-orientation; and problem-solving capability.
    • Areas of particular interest to the Program include leadership potential; ability to work in a variety of operational and corporate tasks; ability to leverage knowledge with others; and adaptability to working in a multicultural setting.
    • Demonstrated passion for development issues and a commitment to Africa (field experience on the continent and/or in other developing countries is an added advantage).
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English or French with a working knowledge of the other language (working knowledge of a third language that is relevant to the Bank's operations in Africa is an advantage).
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (PowerPoint, Excel, Visio).  Additional I.T. skills are an advantage.
    • In addition, the AfDB will take into account skills in areas such as Information Communication and Technology (ICT); People management and Administration; Fiduciary Risks (i.e. Audit, Risk Management and Anti-Corruption); and Knowledge Management.
