    Description

    • Plan and design access transmission links to support sites rollout and entire Etisalat Nigeria network

    Responsibilities

    • Support the planning and designing of microwave links in assigned region
    • Assist in generating transmission link budget for site rollout in assigned region
    • Provide support in the planning and designing of microwave metro SDH links for site rollout and upgrades in assigned region
    • Support the design of transmission links for site connectivity to ensure that sites in assigned region do not have high dependencies
    • Assist in the designing and planning of microwave last-mile links to support POI and MGW connection in assigned region
    • Provide inputs in the designing and planning of transmission links to support ABIS expansion and BTS site optimization in assigned region
    • Assist in the planning and designing of transmission links to support UMTS rollout in assigned region
    • Conduct line of sight (LoS) survey for transmission links in assigned region
    • Generate work orders for the Implementation and Operations team
    • Keep abreast of global and local best practices with regard to transmission planning and designing
    • Maintain in-depth knowledge and databases of the company s existing access transmission infrastructure.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • First degree or equivalent in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering and/ or any other relevant discipline.
    • At least two (2) years directly relevant post-NYSC work experience.

    Ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate:


    • Solid understanding of mobile technology backhaul at the access, transport and core network layers
    • Proficiency in use of Path loss Software for designing transmission links
