    starter, able to manage a small office on a day-to-day basis with minimal supervision? Can you communicate well in written form and verbally? can you work in Nigeria? Then, this is for you. A medical oncologist who sees patients in Nigeria on a quaterly basis, requires a part-time administrative and physicial liasion officer

    Position : Administrative Associate - Cancer Clinics


    Description:

    - Part-time position requiring 4-10 hours a week to coordinate and facilitate planned cancer consultations in Nigeria
    - The individual will be expected to visit health care facilities designated and directed by the oncologist or his colleages
    - Set up appointment and confirm patient readiness and willingness to be seen if diagnosed
    - Book and confirm appointment dates for consultations
    - Fully describe the consultation process, fees and requirementts to the patient and relatives
    - Access voice mails, email and/or any other designated electronic media at least once a weekand update the oncologist by either text messaging, email or phone call
    - Confirm availability of all medical records and help direct patients in obtaining requested tests in preparation for oncology consultation
    - Facilitate initial discussion by telephone usually; between the oncologist and the referal medicaldoctor/health care practisioner as soon as a patient needing an oncology consultation is identified
    - Perform other appropriate duties as assigned by the oncologist
    - This position will require travel between 2-3 major cities in Nigeria ; by air and with appropriate accomodation arragementd. These will mostly occur while the oncologist is in Nigeria

    Preliminary Qualifications:

    - A Science degree (B.Sc or Higher) from a reputable University within the past 10 years
    - Prior experience working in a health care setting is recommended but not required
    - Ability to understand basic medical terminologt
    - Computer literate - Word, Excel and Email. Candidates applying for this position MUST register and perform an online test relating to working with patients involved in cancer medical research
